    Description

This is an original 2 page letter written on January 18,1920.  It is signed Philip and is written in pencil from Camp Funston, Kansas.  He is evidently a newly enlisted man who has not yet been paid.  He is asking his grandmother if she can send him some money.  He will be paid for the month but did not get paid on the last payday because he was "not yet in the army."  The letter is written on Stationery provided by the Knights of Columbus War Activities.  It is in very good condition with 2 horizontal folds but no other damage.
